BIOGRAPHY : OSWALD D. REDDY

Oswald Reddy is an Assistant Commissioner with the South African Police Service and the Station Commissioner of the Honeydew Police Station since 2006-10-16.

He enlisted in the Police on completion of his schooling and has gained widespread knowledge in most facets of Policing over the past 24 years. He has served in Durban for 2 years, Cape Town for 7 years, Soweto for 8 years, Hillbrow for 3 years and as Area Commissioner of Johannesburg for the past 4 years. He has also served at the Mamelodi East and now Honeydew Police Stations.

During 1992, Oswald received an award from Rotary International - Golden Highway branch (Johannesburg) for "SERVICE ABOVE SELF" to the community. He has also received various other awards.

Oswald holds an MPA (Masters in Public Administration) from Harvard, a Law Degree from Unisa, a National Diploma in Policing from Technikon SA and a Diploma in Business Management from the Business Management Training College of Southern Africa.

His international Policing experience includes attending a study tour in Community Policing to the Netherlands, a study tour on Management Development to Denmark and the National Executive Institute of the FBI in the USA.

He serves on various boards and committees including the Full Gospel Church - Greyville Assembly, Lenasia. He enjoys various codes of sport.
